My mission is to educate, inform, and entertain readers with accurate and inspiring content.

I am an Air Force veteran turned freelance writer. While serving in the Air Force I worked as an airfield operations officer. This role manages the airfield management office, and air traffic control units (I have worked with control towers and a RAPCON). My final assignment was teaching at our career field's schoolhouse during which timeĀ  I edited and wrote lesson plans and educational content for lessons covering air traffic control fundamentals and airfield management tenants. Among the many skills I garnered during my time in the Air Force, breaking down complex ideas into layman's terms shines through on more complex writing projects.

After separating from the service, I worked towards building a freelance writing career and learning the ins and outs of freelancing. I worked as an intern and then a staff writer for Bellingham Alive!, a regional lifestyle magazine in Washington. I also worked under the editor for Pryme Mag, an online content platform serving professional women. I've written for various clients including a financial advisor, a wedding dress designer, and a successful multi-location casino. In recent years I've shifted my focus towards more evergreen work and educational content, writing for EBSCO and SAPIENS.

I hold a Humanities MA and a Library and Information Sciences MA with a certification in Management of Information Professionals and a focus on misinformation.

When I'm not writing, you can find me cooking, reading, traveling, or walking in the woods with my husband and our two kids.
